2/365 - Sean Smyth - Botanic Gardens - Dublin.
I was honoured when Sean agreed to be in this series and share the story of his amazing husband, Conor Biddle. I knew Conor from my days as a music photographer, he being one of Ireland’s best lighting designers. Conor lit up stages all across the world and I was lucky enough to shoot them.
Conor passed away in April 2025 after a very short illness. He had his family and Sean by his side and in his typical way, was cracking jokes until the very end.
What Sean ends up telling me on our walk is not only the story of Conor’s passing, but the story of how Conor will continue to be in his life. It’s a conversation that contains so much love, admiration and gratitude.
