128/365- Tom Connolly, Dingle.

“Sauna Tom” as he's known around Dingle is a blow in whom the town loves. He moved down from Dublin a few years back and had the notion of setting up a sauna (he'd gotten the taste of sauna life and all its mental health benefits in Dublin and missed it dearly out West).

He credits his business venture for introducing him to so many of the locals but for also incentivising him to learn Irish, sure it is in a Gaeltacht after all.

His life wasn't always so idyllic. He battled his depression demons and almost lost. Sitting in the back of Curran's bar today he opens up and tells me what it was like to be pushed right to the edge and come back again.
