Faced with an all too common reality these days, Laurie had to make some risky decisions. The house she was renting with her 3 children in Dublin was being sold. Unless you’ve been lucky enough to live under a rock, you’ll know that the housing crisis is crippling so many people. Dublin became unaffordable for her, so she set her sights on somewhere new.

Now, 4 years later, she runs a successful Pilates studio (with her pal Louise) in Derry city. Her children have adjusted to their new schools and college and she feels a little more stable and secure than she did in Dublin.
